There is a large blank wall space above the boys' dresser that is begging for some art, photos or really anything.
Until I was rummaging through the office closet and found this:
back into a man-cave (follow that?), his parents sent a Knute Rockne poster called "The Coach" for an addition to the room makeover. I didn't realize that it was the same one I ordered off EBay. Theirs was a better quality, so we had that one framed and I intended to just return the one I ordered.....but never got around to it. Story of my life.
I rediscovered it through this "Working With What You Have " mission and realized that the colors worked perfectly with the boys' room scheme. It even had a few subtle touches of red. It really doesn't get more old school football that this...
It's not a standard size, so I'll have to wait on framing it for a few more weeks.
Has anyone else used "grown up" art in a child's room or even nursery? How do you create a room that will stand the test of time?
